These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the LegalScout platform and website, operated by NextAISolutions Pty Ltd (ACN 684 131 208). Please read them carefully before using our services.

LegalScout.com.au is operated by NextAISolutions Pty Ltd (ACN 684 131 208). We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time with reasonable notice. By using, browsing and/or reading this website, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Acceptance of the terms
You must agree to these terms to access the LegalScout platform. If you do not agree, you must immediately cease use of the website and services.
About the service
LegalScout provides legal document automation powered by AI. Paid subscription accounts are offered, and features may change from time to time. Some accounts may be governed by separate Software Licensing Agreements that amend these terms.
The AI software provided by LegalScout is designed to assist with legal tasks but is not a substitute for professional legal advice, analysis, or judgment.
Acceptable use of the service
The service must be used lawfully only. Prohibited activities include: tampering with, reverse-engineering, or hacking our servers; modifying or disabling service performance; overwhelming infrastructure with excessive loads; testing system vulnerabilities without permission; using the service for illegal purposes; stalking, harassment, or threats; fraud, phishing, or impersonation; unauthorised service access; and posting content that violates our content policy.
Security and data privacy
NextAISolutions Pty Ltd takes your privacy seriously. Information provided through your use of the website and services is subject to our Privacy Policy.
Subscription to use the service
Users must purchase a subscription and register an account. You warrant that any information you provide during registration will always be accurate, correct, and up to date.
You cannot access our services if you are under the legal age of majority or if you are barred from doing so under Australian or other applicable laws.
Payments
Subscription fees may be paid through available methods on the website and may change over time. Third-party payment services are used, and NextAISolutions assumes no liability for their operations. Users bear any costs arising from returned or denied payments.
NextAISolutions Pty Ltd can vary the Subscription Fee at any time and the varied Subscription Fee will come into effect following the conclusion of the existing Subscription.
Refund policy
Refunds comply with Australian Consumer Law. NextAISolutions Pty Ltd will only provide a refund of the Subscription Fee in the event we are unable to continue to provide the services, or if we determine at our absolute discretion that it is reasonable to do so. Refunds are proportional to the unused portion of the subscription.
Copyright and intellectual property
All website material, services, and compilation elements are protected by copyright. All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are owned, registered, and/or licensed by NextAISolutions Pty Ltd.
You receive a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to use the website in accordance with these terms, cache website material, and print pages for personal non-commercial use. No other rights are granted. You may not broadcast, republish, upload, transmit, distribute, or adapt the services without our written permission.
General disclaimer
Use of the website and services is at your own risk. Everything on the website and services is provided to you 'as is' and 'as available' without warranty or condition of any kind. This includes performance failures, errors, viruses, data loss, transmission delays, third-party conduct, and information accuracy.
Limitation of liability
NextAISolutions Pty Ltd's total liability arising out of or in connection with the services or these terms, however arising, including under contract, tort (including negligence), in equity, under statute or otherwise, will not exceed the resupply of the services to you.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including lost profits or damage to business reputation.
Termination of contract
You may terminate by not renewing your subscription, providing 7 days' written notice via the Contact Us page, or closing your account.
NextAISolutions may terminate your access if you don't renew, breach these terms, are required by law to do so, or if service provision becomes commercially unviable. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel accounts for serious breaches or conduct that affects our reputation.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify NextAISolutions Pty Ltd, its affiliates, and related parties from any actions, claims, costs, losses, and damages arising from your content, your access to or use of the service, or any breach of these terms.
Dispute resolution
Before commencing court proceedings, disputes must go through the following process: (1) written notice detailing the nature of the dispute and desired resolution; (2) a 28-day good faith negotiation period; (3) if unresolved, mediation via a mediator appointed by the Law Society of Victoria; (4) equal sharing of mediator fees and venue costs; (5) mediation held in Melbourne, Victoria; (6) a 2-month termination point if the dispute remains unresolved.
All communications during this process are confidential and treated as 'without prejudice' negotiations.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute, controversy, proceeding or claim arising out of or relating to these terms shall be governed by the laws of Victoria. The exclusive venue for resolving any dispute shall be the courts of Victoria.
AI and large language model data use
Our AI legal document generation platform operates on tenanted AI services, ensuring that confidential client information, including personal data, is not accessible for model training or by unauthorised personnel. The LegalScout platform processes data solely for legal document generation without any external model training use.
